Overview
As Vice President of Marketing at Red Rover, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our growth trajectory. You will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that accelerates customer acquisition, expands our market presence, and strengthens our brand. This is a hands-on leadership position that requires a blend of strategic vision, functional expertise, and programmatic execution. You will lead a talented team in a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
KEY Responsibilities
Develop and implement a data-driven marketing strategy aligned with Red Rover's revenue goals, focusing on scalable demand generation and growth marketing initiatives.
Lead, mentor, and empower a high-performing marketing team across various functions, including demand generation, product marketing, content marketing, digital marketing, and brand; product, content, digital and brand are mid-term goals. The top priority initially is demand generation.
Drive and optimize demand generation programs across multiple channels, including but not limited to: digital advertising, content marketing, email marketing, webinars, events, and SEO.
Develop and execute growth marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, acquire new customers, and expand our reach within the education sector.
Cultivate strong customer relationships and build a robust customer advocacy program, leveraging testimonials, case studies, and user-generated content to enhance credibility and drive conversions.
Collaborate closely with Sales, Product, and Leadership to ensure marketing activities are directly aligned with revenue targets and product roadmap.
Communicate marketing performance, insights, and recommendations to the executive team, demonstrating the ROI of marketing initiatives.
Foster a seamless integration between marketing and customer experience, ensuring a consistent and positive brand journey.
Continuously analyze marketing channel performance, optimize campaigns, and implement strategies to improve lead conversion rates and marketing ROI.
Stay informed about the latest trends in EdTech, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
Manage the marketing budget effectively, prioritizing high-impact activities and maximizing resource allocation.
Be willing to roll up your sleeves and contribute to hands-on execution when needed, including refining messaging, troubleshooting campaign performance, or participating in content creation.

Develops advocacy programs to convert satisfied customers into active promoters.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborates closely with sales, product, and leadership to align marketing with revenue objectives.
Communicates marketing impact effectively to executives.
Facilitates a smooth transition between marketing and customer experience.
Growth & Demand Generation Focus:
Skilled in scaling marketing efforts, particularly in demand generation, brand awareness, and content strategy.
Optimizes channels, measures ROI, and improves lead conversion rates.
Understands how to generate demand in a competitive market.
Adaptability & Problem-Solving:
Adapts strategies based on performance data, avoiding rigid adherence to theory.
Thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys tackling unexpected challenges.
Qualifications
10+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, education technology (EdTech) is a nice to have, not a need to have. We are also interested in Enterprise SaaS experience in competitive market segments outside of EdTech.
Proven track record of developing and executing successful demand generation and growth marketing strategies that drive measurable results.
Deep expertise in inbound and outbound marketing methodologies, and account-based marketing (ABM).
Experience in building, managing, and mentoring high-performing marketing teams.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data, extract insights, and make data-driven decisions.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
Proficiency in marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot), CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce), and other relevant marketing technologies.
